ROC E-Sport Club

Shenzhen ROC is a Chinese E–sport club, established in April 2020, with its League of Legends team competing in the League of Legends Pro League. Based in Shenzhen, known as the “City of ROC,” the club draws inspiration from the ROC, a mythical giant bird of prey in Chinese mythology that protects the coastal region. This project reimagines ROC’s visual identity by moving beyond traditional graphic design to incorporate dynamic, tech–forward elements. By integrating 3D visuals and motion graphics, the branding captures a futuristic aesthetic that aligns with the cutting-edge world of E–sports.

These unique visuals are designed to captivate readers, enticing them to procure and delve into these volumes. Each cover’s imagery is intrinsically linked to the narrative, be it through its composition, form, or underlying symbolism.

Raymond Yang is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Graphic Design at ArtCenter College of Design. He previously earned his Bachelor's degree from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), graduating with Magna Cum Laude honors. He has accumulated extensive professional experience in Shenzhen, China, where he worked as a Graphic Designer, Brand Identity Designer, and Social Media Specialist at institutions such as Iplus Marketing, Shenzhen Hti Sanjiang Electronics, and Contemporary International Art & Design.
